Niall is a chartered engineer with an engineering education from UCD and Southbank, London. He began work on consulting side in London gaining experience of some large high profile projects. In 1992, Niall returned to Ireland and joined T Bourke. In 2007, he took up the role of Managing Director. He has been Director in charge for some of the companies largest projects including Department of Agricultural Laboratories, Four Seasons Hotel, Custom House Plaza and George’s Dock.

Patrick has over 20 years post qualification experience as an accountant both in practice, and across a range of industrial and commercial roles. He has been with T. Bourke & Co. Limited for 13 years and in addition to overseeing the company’s accounting & finance function, Patrick has undertaken specific projects such as the design and implementation of the company’s centralised purchase order processing system. Patrick also recently became a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Donald joined T Bourke in 2021. He has over fourteen years’ experience in the health and safety industry. Donald is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the company’s health, regulation, and inspection. Donald supports site project staff and plays a lead role in our project teams’ delivery of M&E projects nationwide. Donald coordinates site safety compliance, delivers EHS programmes and safety audits.

John Paul (JP) has been working with T Bourke since 2012. JP started his career in the electrical trade apprenticeship scheme. He was based out of our regional office in Limerick and learned his trade on various commercial and industrial projects primarily based in the munster area.
JP is a qualified electrician by trade complemented by a higher certificate in electrical services engineering and more recently a degree in electrical engineering services. JP has demonstrated his educational ability along with his practical experience. Today, JP forms part of T Bourke electrical management team. He is a key player in our electrical team with the ability to deliver project from coordination to commissioning and handover.

Craig McCarthy

Craig completed his apprenticeship in 2012. He worked hands-on in the field until 2018, when he advanced to a chargehand position. This role gradually evolved, allowing him to take on greater responsibility for overseeing his own projects. In 2018, Craig returned to college to pursue a Level 6 qualification in Building Services Engineering, followed by a Level 8 in Digital Construction, which he completed in 2024.
Currently, Craig’s key responsibilities include coordinating mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, ensuring health and safety compliance, managing procurement, and overseeing on-site installations. He also manages small works projects for the company, including installations at Mount Anville School and the BT Data Hall.
